Marvin is a drummer and steelpan musician who has performed locally and internationally in various countries around the world. He also works as a studio producer and songwriter.
His rich experience as a professional performer and studio artist has instilled in Marvin a deep passion for helping others excel musically, as well as developing his own musical voice. He holds a BA Honours in music production, making him fully equipped to provide students with well-rounded lessons and prepare them for playing with other artists or as solo drummers.
Marvin holds an Enhanced DBS check and currently teaches music lessons in person at both Pirate Wembley and Pirate Croydon, as well as online.
HOURLY RATE: £40 + 50% studio fee (if applicable)
TEACHING: In-person and Online
PREFERRED LOCATIONS: Pirate Croydon and Pirate Wembley
LEVELS: Beginner to Intermediate
SPECIALITIES: Steelpans, drums, percussion, and music production (logic programming) and digital music creations.

ABOUT THE LESSON
Marvin’s style of teaching is very practical and interactive. He has perfected the art of making learning fun and approachable for beginner and intermediate learners, even those who have never played music before.
With an academic yet sometimes informal structure, the lessons are broken down into weekly sections with tasks and goals set. Students are expected to accomplish the tasks that are set weekly, allowing them to achieve progress as the sessions unfold.
