Joel started playing drums at the age of 2, initially self-taught, and moved on to formal lessons at the age of 7. With over 20 years of experience playing in bands and more than 10 years teaching students how to play the drums, Joel offers a wealth of knowledge.

You’ll benefit from his extensive experience as a qualified drumming coach and as a professional recording and touring drummer in bands worldwide. Joel holds an Enhanced DBS check and currently teaches music lessons in person at Pirate Wembley, as well as online.

HOURLY RATE: £40 + 50% studio fee (if applicable)

TEACHING: In-person and Online

PREFERRED LOCATIONS: Pirate Wembley

LEVELS: Beginner to Advanced

SPECIALITIES:  Teaching neurodivergent students

ABOUT THE LESSON

These drum lessons are perfect for absolute beginners as well as those looking to further develop their skills.

Specialising in rock drumming, funk drumming, Latin styles, blues, and more, Joel is an expert at helping beginners achieve great results in the easiest way possible. Even if you’re starting from scratch, you’ll soon gain a clear understanding of how the structure of drumming works, begin to discover your own unique drumming style, and gain confidence in generating ideas.
